O projeto \u00e9 descrito como estando em desenvolvimento inicial na Disney Branded Television.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>G\u00e1rgulas foi feito pela Walt Disney Television Animation e foi ao ar tr\u00eas temporadas, de 1994 a 1997. A premissa envolvia est\u00e1tuas de g\u00e1rgulas transferidas de um castelo na Esc\u00f3cia para a atual Nova York. Uma vez na Big Apple, as est\u00e1tuas despertam de um feiti\u00e7o milenar e assumem o manto de proteger a cidade, tornando-se, como dizia gravemente a narra\u00e7\u00e3o do espet\u00e1culo, \u201cpedra de dia, guerreiros de noite\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A s\u00e9rie, criada por Greg Weisman, surgiu em um momento de inova\u00e7\u00e3o na anima\u00e7\u00e3o de s\u00e9ries, com G\u00e1rgulas pegando uma onda de shows com hist\u00f3rias mais complexas e tons mais sombrios que tamb\u00e9m inclu\u00edam Batman: a s\u00e9rie animada e X-Men. Tal como acontece com esses programas, G\u00e1rgulas penetrou na consci\u00eancia de uma gera\u00e7\u00e3o de telespectadores que lhe deram status de culto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Embora a Disney n\u00e3o tenha tentado abertamente adaptar a s\u00e9rie para outros formatos, ela tentou desenvolver um recurso de g\u00e1rgulas nos tempos modernos em 2010, na mesma \u00e9poca em que fez O Aprendiz de Feiticeiro. Este \u00faltimo decepcionou nas bilheterias e o projeto estagnou pouco depois.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dauberman escreveu Annabelle, Annabelle: Creation e Annabelle Comes Home, que foram produzidos pela Atomic Monster e s\u00e3o parte integrante de The Conjuring Universe, de Wan, a franquia de terror de maior bilheteria de todos os tempos. Ele tamb\u00e9m escreveu o spin-off de Conjuring, The Nun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A parceria tem sido frut\u00edfera n\u00e3o s\u00f3 pelo sucesso de bilheteria, mas tamb\u00e9m profissionalmente, j\u00e1 que Dauberman passou da m\u00e1quina de escrever para a c\u00e2mera, fazendo sua estreia na dire\u00e7\u00e3o com Annabelle Comes Home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>E os dois tamb\u00e9m trabalharam juntos em Monstro do P\u00e2ntano, a s\u00e9rie de curta dura\u00e7\u00e3o baseada no personagem da DC que foi transmitida na extinta plataforma DC Universe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dauberman, representado pela CAA, Industry Entertainment e Felker Toczek, continuou a ser um dos maiores talentos do terror da cidade, escrevendo a adapta\u00e7\u00e3o em duas partes de It, de Stephen King. A primeira parte se tornou o filme de terror de maior bilheteria de todos os tempos.
